What To Buy in July

July is one of my favorite months! The weather is hot, there is lots of fun to be had, from weddings to BBQs and everything in between.

There are also so many good sales! Take some time out of your busy schedule to check out these deals!

What to Buy in July

Christmas in July Events– You will start to see these pop up everywhere from electronics stores to toy stores. These are designed to clear out many of the old stuff to make room for the new stuff that will be hitting the shelves in the summer and fall. Just make sure these sales really do offer the absolute lowest prices by looking at them carefully.

Early Back to School Sales Some retailers may start their early savings events for back-to-school items, but these usually don’t include school supplies. However, you may see deals on clothing that is good year round like T-shirts, slacks, and so on.

Semi-Annual Sales– Many chain stores run their twice-a-year sales in July so be on the lookout for these sales.

Grills– After the 4th of July, most retailers see a huge drop in sales of grills. They try to entice you back with good deals on grills in mid-July.

Summer clothing– Most summer apparel has been on the racks since mid-April, so by the time July hits, retainers are looking at the new stock of clothing that will be coming around for Autumn and back to school. Get a good deal on summer clothes while the weather is still hot by looking for deals in July.

Plants for outdoor decor– If you missed buying the seeds or seedlings in May or June, July is a great time to buy in-bloom arrangements and single plants for decorating your home for the rest of the season on good deals.

Groceries and household items to Buy in July

Produce that is in season: watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, cherries, limes, lettuce, corn, pineapple, and cucumbers.

July is national ice cream month so look for sales on this creamy treat.

BBQ staples like condiments, buns, hot dogs, drinks like bottled water and soda as well as potato chips and disposable cutlery and plates.

Find savings on outdoor personal care items such as sunscreen and bug spray. You can often find great deals on first aid kit items such as bandages, triple antibiotic ointment, and gauze as well.

July is my birthday month, and I consider finding your blog a gift. Your post is yet another example that you can have an awesome time, even in your back yard, with a little ingenuity. A lot of times being frugal is equated with self denial, when being frugal can actually be fun.
