My Favorite Free Stuff You Can Get At Walt Disney World

A Disney World vacation is a big investment.  The experience is worth it. The Cast members usually really try to make your stay magical, but it’s also nice to get something extra that you don’t have to pay for.  While these things are not a way to save money during your stay, they are a great way to boost your experience with no added charge. It’s my favorite free stuff you can get in Walt Disney World

Buttons

There are buttons for every celebration.  They are a great way to commemorate an event you are celebrating in Disney World, but they also improve your experience.  Celebration buttons are a cue to cast members to treat you extra special. Wearing it can have a significant impact on your day.  You can get them at any store location or at Guest Relations free of charge.

Water Pageant

The Water Pageant predates the Electrical parade.  It still floats nightly across the Seven Seas Lagoon and you can watch it for free.  Since it is not inside a park you don’t even need park admission to enjoy.

In addition, you can also watch Magic Kingdom’s fireworks from the Polynesian Resort.  They even pipe the soundtrack through to the speakers near the beach.

Transportation Collector’s Cards

This one blew me away.  There are actually collectors cards for WDW transportation,  You can collect the monorails, boats, and busses of Disney World transit.  The free transportation is good enough on its own, but you can actually request a card from the driver and they’ll give you one.  It’s great for kids!

Professional Photos

A lot of people don’t realize that Disney photographers will take your picture free of charge.  Even if you don’t have PhotoPass, you can get your picture taken by the same professionals. Just hand over your camera, or phone and they will happily oblige.

Food Tour

One of the most celebrated dining spots in all of Walt Disney World is Sanaa.  Both restaurants are in Animal Kingdom Lodge and they are highly recommended. The food costs money.  It’s not free to dine there. However, they do have food tours that let you go behind the scenes at the restaurants and you do get to sample the food.

Food samples in Disney World are not uncommon and a great free thing.  Most candy stores (Karamell Kuche), and Ice cream parlors (Ample Hills Creamery) will have something for you to try.  The food tour at Sanaa is different because it is a great cultural experience and you get free food from one of the best restaurants on Disney property.

Was there anything on this list you did not know about.  What are some free things you like that I didn’t mention?  Club Cool? Character appearances? Leave a comment with some of your favorites.
