Here is a new week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based on a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those to your final price. (sale dates )

Meal 1: Roasted Turkey with Au Gratin Potatoes and Vegetables  $12.12

  • 10 lb ButterBall Turkey, thawed and rinsed
  • 2 t salt (pantry)
  • 1 t ground pepper (pantry)
  • 1 stick butter, softened (pantry)
  • I pkg Idahoan Au Gratin potatoes (plus ingredients per package directions)
  • 1 bag Meijer frozen vegetables, any variety

Directions:  In a bowl, mix the salt, pepper, and butter.  Place the turkey in a roaster and spread the butter over the turkey.  Cover and bake in a 350°F oven for 3 ½ to 4 hours, until a thermometer in the thigh read 165°F.  Prepare the potatoes as directed on the package.  Steam the vegetables to the desired doneness.  Save the drippings and leftover turkey for the next meal.

Meal 2:  Turkey Manhattans  $2.95

  • Leftover turkey, sliced or shredded (pantry)
  • 1 pkg Idahoan Homestyle Mashed Potatoes (plus ingredients per package)
  • Drippings from the turkey (pantry)
  • 1 C flour (pantry)
  • Water (pantry)
  • 1 loaf SaraLee Artisan Bread

Directions:  Heat the drippings in a saucepan.  In a bowl, mix the flour and enough water to make a slurry, removing all lumps.  Slowly stir the slurry into the drippings and continue to heat until the gravy thickens, about 5 minutes.  Bring to a simmer and remove from the heat.  Prepare the potatoes as directed on the package.  Heat the turkey until warmed in a 350°F oven.  Place the bread on plates.  Top with potatoes, turkey and cover in gravy.

Meal 3:  Salmon and Salads  $10.33

  • 1 lb salmon filet
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)
  • 1 bag Dole Greener Selection
  • ½ container grape tomatoes halved
  • ½ greenhouse cucumber, diced
  • Salad dressing (pantry)

Directions:  Place the salmon on a baking sheet and sprinkle with salt and pepper.  Bake in a 425°F oven for 7-10 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.  Prepare the salad by mixing the remaining ingredients.  Top with salmon

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced (pantry)
  • 1 jar Ragu alfredo sauce

Directions:  Parboil the pierogies for 3 minutes in boiling water and drain.  Place in a 9×13 casserole pan.  Brown the ground beef and onion until no pink remain; drain.  Sprinkle over the pierogies.  Pour the sauce over the top and bake in a 350°F oven for 30 minutes, until the sauce is bubbly.
