This is the week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE
For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $39 bucks, along with a few things from your pantry! You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)
- This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
- All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

Meal 1: Tortellini with Meat Sauce $6.24
½ lb round beef
1 bag Meijer frozen tortellini, any variety
1 jar Prego pasta sauce, any variety
Directions: Brown the ground beef and drain. Add to pasta sauce in a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Boil the tortellini in salted water as directed on the package. Serve the tortellini with the sauce over the top.
Meal 2: Steaks, Baked Potatoes, and Broccoli $6.08
- 1 ½ lb eye of round, cut into steaks
- 4 Russet potatoes, scrubbed and pierced
- 1 lb fresh broccoli, cut into florets
Directions: Place the potatoes in a 400°F oven for 45-60 minutes, until soft when pierced with a fork. Steam the broccoli to desired doneness. Prepare the steaks by grilling, broiling, or pan frying to desired doneness. Serve the potatoes with butter, if desired.
Meal 3: Hotdogs and Fries $4.78
- 1 pkg Oscar Meyer hot dogs
- 1 pkg Meijer hot dog buns
- 1 pkg Ore Ida fries, any variety
Directions: Prepare the fries as directed on the package. Bake, boil, or pan fry the hot dogs. Serve in the buns with desired condiments.
Meal 4: Pork Tacos $9.22
- 2 lb country ribs
- 1 jar Chi Chi’s salsa, any variety
- 1 pkg La Bandarita flour tortillas, 20 pk
- 1 pkg Meijer shredded cheddar cheese
Directions: Place the ribs in a slow cooker and top with salsa. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Remove the ribs, shred the meat, discarding any fat or bones. Return the meat to the slow cooker. Cover and set to high for 10 minutes. Serve in tortillas with cheese.
Meal 5: Smoked Sausage Mac & Cheese $4.50
- 1 pkg Hillshire Farms smoked sausage, sliced into coins
- 2 boxes Kraft Mac & Cheese spirals, plus ingredients per directions on package
Directions: Saute the sausage until browned. Prepare the mac & cheese as directed on the package. Mix the browned sausage into the mac and cheese and serve.
Meal 6: Amigo Pie
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes, drained
- 1 T chili powder (pantry)
- 1 box Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix, plus ingredients per directions on package
- 1 pkg Meijer shredded cheddar cheese
Directions: Brown the ground beef and drain. Add the chili powder and saute until fragrant. Add the tomatoes and saute until liquid is evaporated. Prepare the corn muffin mix as directed on the package. Mix in half of the cheddar cheese and place in a greased 9×9 baking dish. Top with the ground beef mixture. Bake in a 425°F oven for 20 minutes. Top with the rest of the cheese and return to the oven for 5 minutes. Serve hot.
