Meijer Meal Planning Week 10/8: 6 Meals Under $36 Bucks

This is the week of 10/8 bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based on a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

 

Meal 1:  Turkey Tacos  $7.24

  • 1 lb Jennie-O turkey
  • 1 onion, diced (pantry)
  • 1 box (10 count) Old El Paso taco shells
  • 1 can Old El Paso refried beans
  • 1 pkg Meijer taco seasoning
  • ½ pkg Sargento shredded cheese

Directions:  Brown the turkey and onion.  Season with the taco seasoning  Heat the beans until hot throughout.  Serve the meat and beans in the taco shells.  Top with cheese.

 

Meal 2:  Autumn Sausage Casserole with Baked Potatoes  $2.95

  • 1 pkg John Morrell smoked sausage, cut into ½ inch slices
  • 1 acorn squash, seeded and cubed
  • 1 onion, sliced (pantry)
  • 4 Russet potatoes, scrubbed and pierced
  • Butter and sour cream (pantry)

Directions:  Place the sausage, squash, and onion in a lightly buttered casserole dish; cover.  Place the casserole and potatoes in a 400°F oven for 1 hour or until the squash and potatoes are tender.

 

Meal 3:  Garlic Parmesan Chicken Bites with Broccoli  $6.49

  • 1 pkg Meijer frozen Popcorn Chicken
  • 6 cloves garlic, peeled (pantry)
  • 2 T olive oil (pantry)
  • ½ C mayonnaise (pantry)
  • 2 T parmesan cheese
  • 1 t lemon juice (pantry)
  • 1 T apple cider vinegar (pantry)
  • ¼ t rubbed thyme (pantry)
  • ¼ t marjoram (pantry)
  • ¼ t basil (pantry)
  • ½ t red pepper flakes (pantry)
  • ½ t salt (pantry)
  • ¼ t black pepper (pantry)
  • 1 ½ lb broccoli

Directions:  Cook the chicken per the package directions.  Place the garlic in a small baking dish and drizzle with olive oil.  Cover with foil.  Bake in the oven with the chicken for 15 minutes.  While the garlic and chicken is baking, mix the remaining ingredients except for the broccoli.  Mash the garlic and add to the sauce mixture.  Toss the chicken in a bowl with the sauce.  Steam the broccoli to the desired doneness.

 

Meal 4:  Baked Rigatoni  $5.74

  • ½ lb ground round
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and diced (pantry)
  • 1 jar Meijer pasta sauce, any red variety
  • 1 box Meijer rigatoni pasta, cooked al dente
  • ½ pkg Sargento shredded mozzarella

Directions:  Brown the ground beef with the garlic and drain.  Layer the pasta, beef, and sauce, ending with sauce in a deep casserole pan.  Top with mozzarella.  Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour.  Serve with parmesan, if desired.

Meal 5:  Pork Chops with Rice  $4.38

  • 2 lb bone in pork chops
  • 2 pkg Knorr Rice Sides, any variety

Directions:  Grill or broil the pork chops, seasoning with salt and pepper, until no pink remains in the center.  Prepare the rice as directed on the package.

 

Meal 6:  Stuffed Peppers  $8.44

  • 4 red or yellow peppers, tops cut and seeds removed
  • 1 C rice (pantry)
  • 2 C water (pantry)
  • 1 lb ground round
  • 1 t salt (pantry)
  • ½ t pepper (pantry)
  • ½ t oregano (pantry)
  • ½ t basil (pantry)
  • 1 8 oz can Meijer tomato sauce
  • Parmesan cheese, if desired (pantry)

Directions:  Place the rice and water in a saucepan.  Cover and bring to a simmer for 20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.  Place in a bowl and stir to cool.  Add the ground round, salt, pepper, oregano, and basil.  Mix well.  Stuff the peppers and place standing up in a casserole dish.  Cover and bake 1 hour in a 350°F oven.  Remove the cover and pour the tomato sauce over the top.  Return to the oven for 15 minutes.  Serve with parmesan if desired.
