This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

Sales at Meijer are geared towards holiday parties, but there are lots of great sales that make your meal planning easy.  Check out these six fun meals for your family.

Meal 1:  Slow Cooker Pork Loin with Sauerkraut and Mashers  $7.17

  • 2 lb pork loin
  • 1 bag Meijer sauerkraut
  • 2.5 lb Klondike Rose potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • Butter and milk for mashers (pantry)

Directions:  Place the sauerkraut, including juice, in a slow cooker.  Top with the pork loin, fat side up.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Place the potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water, adding salt if desired.  Bring to a simmer for 20-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.  Drain and mash with butter and milk to desired consistency.

Meal 2:  Smoked Sausage Mac & Cheese with Vegetables  $3.42

  • 1 pkg John Morrell Smoked Sausage, cut into chunks
  • 2 boxes Kraft Mac & Cheese (with ingredients per package)
  • ½ 32 oz bag Meijer frozen vegetables, any variety

Directions:  Prepare the mac & cheese as directed on the package.  Place into a lightly greased casserole dish and mix in the sausage.  Cover and bake in a 350°F oven for 30 minutes.  Prepare the vegetables as desired.

Meal 3:  Slow Cooker Roast Chicken with Rice and Vegetables  $5.85

  • 1 4 lb whole chicken
  • 1 box Rice A Roni (with ingredients per package)
  • ½ 32 oz bag Meijer frozen vegetables, any variety

Directions:  Rinse the chicken and place in a large slow cooker.  Season with salt and pepper, cover, and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Prepare the rice and vegetables as directed on the package.

Meal 4:  Taco Bake  $10.11

  • 1 ½ lb ground chuck
  • 2 pkts McCormick taco seasoning
  • ½ bag Meijer tortilla chips
  • 1 can Ro Tel tomatoes, drained
  • 1 bag Meijer shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ 16 oz container Meijer sour cream

Directions:  Brown the ground chuck until no pink remains; drain.  Add the taco seasoning, following the directions on the package.  In a 9×13 pan, spread the chips.  Add the meat and tomatoes, top with the cheese.  Bake in a 375°F oven for 20-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.  Serve with the sour cream.

Meal 5:  Country Ribs with Fries  $6.57

  • 2 lbs country ribs
  • 1 btl Kraft Italian dressing
  • 1 bag Ore Ida French fries, any variety

Directions:  Place the ribs in a slow cooker, top with the dressing.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Prepare the fries as directed on the package.

Meal 6:  Steak, Baked Potatoes, and Guacamole Salad  $8.43

  • 1 ½ lb eye of round, cut into steaks
  • 4 Russet potatoes, scrubbed and pierced
  • 1 pt grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • ½ sweet onion, diced
  • Olive oil (pantry)
  • Red wine vinegar (pantry)
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)
  • Condiments for the potatoes, as desired (pantry)

Directions:  Place the potatoes in a 400°F oven and bake for 1 hour or until the flesh is tender when pierced with a fork.  Prepare the steaks as desired, by grilling, broiling, etc.  Place the tomatoes, avocado, and onion in a bowl.  Drizzle with olive oil and vinegar.  Season with the salt and pepper.

This week, six delicious meals will cost you only $41.55.
