This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

We have 2 Meal Plans to choose from this week!!

Meal Plan 1:

Meal 1: Chicken Tacos $8.54
1 ½ lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 onion, diced (pantry)
1 T ground cumin (pantry)
Salt and pepper (pantry)
1 can Rosarita refried beans
1 can Ro-Tel tomatoes
1 12 ct box Ortega taco shells
1 bag Kraft Colby Jack cheese, shredded

Directions: Place the chicken, onion, cumin, salt, and pepper in a slow cooker; cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Remove the chicken, shred, and return to the slow cooker. Heat the beans. Prepare the tacos by warming to crisp in the oven, per the package. Fill with chicken, beans, tomatoes, and cheese.

Meal 2: 1 Pot Tortellini $6.56
½ pkg Johnsonville Italian sausage, cut into rounds
1 T olive oil (pantry)
2 cloves garlic, sliced (pantry)
2 cans Hunt’s fire roasted tomatoes with juice
½ C half n half (pantry)
1 pkg CoraBella tricolored tortellini
2 C baby spinach

Directions: In a deep Dutch oven, saute the sausage with the oil and garlic until the sausage is cooked throughout. Add the tomatoes, half n half, and tortellini; bring to a simmer, cover, and cook about 10 minutes, until the pasta is tender. Stir in the spinach and serve.

Meal 3: Chicken Noodle Soup Casserole $4.28
1 boneless skinless chicken breast
1 can Campbell’s Cream of Chicken soup
½ C milk (pantry)
½ t garlic powder (pantry)
1 t dried thyme (pantry)
½ t black pepper (pantry)
¼ t rubbed sage (pantry)
½ C carrots, sliced (pantry)
½ C celery, diced (pantry)
½ C onion, diced (pantry)
12 oz wide egg noodles, cooked and drained

Directions: Place the chicken breast in a small slow cooker, sprinkle with salt and pepper, cover, and set to low for 6-8 hours. Remove and shred. In a lightly greased casserole dish, mix the remaining ingredients and the chicken. Bake in a 400°F oven for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and the vegetables are tender.

Meal 4: Stuffed French Bread $7.06
1 loaf French bread, sliced lengthwise ¾ of the way through
1 lb ground beef
2 T onion, diced (pantry)
½ C celery, diced (pantry)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 can Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup
2 T milk (pantry)
2 t Worcestershire sauce (pantry)
1 pkg Kraft shredded cheddar cheese

Directions: Brown the ground beef, onion, celery, and garlic until cooked through; drain. Add in the soup, milk, and Worcestershire sauce; cook until bubbling and hot. Add in the cheddar, then stuff the bread with the hot mixture. Place on a baking sheet and bake in a 350°F oven for 10-15 minutes.

Meal 5: Mustard Glazed Pork Chops with Vegetables and Baked Potatoes $5.07
1 ½ lb pork loin, cut into 4 chops
1 bag frozen vegetables, any variety
4 Russet potatoes
3 cloves garlic, minced (pantry)
2 T honey (pantry)
2 T brown mustard (pantry)
Butter, sour cream for potatoes, if desired (pantry)

Directions: Scrub and pierce the potatoes. Bake in a 400°F oven for 1 hour or until tender. Prepare the pork chops by sauteing in a pan over medium high heat with some olive oil, if needed, until no pink remains in the center. In a small bowl, mix the garlic, honey, and mustard; pour over chops and allow to glaze. Prepare the vegetables as desired.

Meal 6: Hashbrown Casserole with Smoked Sausage $8.18
¾ C onion, chopped (pantry)
½ T black pepper (pantry)
1 bag Ore Ida shredded potatoes
2 T butter (pantry)
1 can Campbell’s Cream of Chicken soup
1 bag Kraft shredded cheddar
1 C sour cream (pantry)
1 pkg Hillshire Farms smoked sausage, sliced into rounds

Directions: Mix all the ingredients in a greased 9×13 pan. Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour.

This week, six fabulous home cooked meals will cost a mere $39.69!

Meal Plan 2:

Meal 1 :Herbed Pork Loin Roast with Pasta  $6.98

  • 2 lb pork loin
  • 1 t oregano (pantry)
  • ½ t basil (pantry)
  • ½ t rosemary (pantry)
  • ½ t marjoram (pantry)
  • 1 t salt (pantry)
  • 1 jar Ragu Homestyle sauce
  • 1 box Meijer mostaccioli pasta

Directions:  Place the pork, fat side up, in a slow cooker and top with the herbs.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  About 30 minutes before serving, heat the sauce in a small saucepan and bring a large pot of water to a boil.  Cook the pasta until tender, per the directions on the package.  Serve with shredded pork over the top of the pasta

Meal 2:  Asian Beef Wraps  $2.98

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ¼ C soy sauce (pantry)
  • 2 T garlic, minced (pantry)
  • 2 T hoisin sauce (pantry)
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce, separated into leaves

Directions:  Brown the ground beef and garlic; drain.  Add the soy and hoisin sauces, simmering to reduce the sauce by half.  Move off the burner, and allow to cool.  When just warm to the touch, place in the leaves and wrap like a burrito.

 

Meal 3:  Chicken Broccoli Bake  $5.06

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 1 Package Frozen Meijer Broccoli
  • 2 cans Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup

Directions:  Mix all the ingredients in a large casserole dish.  Cover and bake in a 350°F for 1 hour, until the broccoli is tender, and the chicken is no longer pink in the middle

Meal 4:  Ham, Rice, and Vegetables $9.02

  • 6 lb Cook’s Shank portion ham
  • 1 box Rice a Roni, any variety
  • 1 pkg Meijer frozen vegetables, any variety

Directions:   Place the ham in a large baking dish.  Tightly cover with foil and place in a 350°F oven for 3-4 hours, until the ham falls apart.  Make the rice and vegetables according to the package directions.  Serve hot and save some ham for the following two meals.

Meal 5:  Ham & Beans  $3.99

  • 2 cups cubed leftover ham
  • 1 jar Randall deluxe mixed beans, including juice
  • 1 pkg Meijer mixed frozen vegetables
  • 1 onion, diced (pantry)
  • salt & pepper, to taste (pantry)

Directions:  Place all the ingredients in a large slow cooker.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Serve hot with crusty bread, if desired.

Meal 6: Ham & Scalloped Potatoes  $1.28

  • 2.5 lbs white potatoes, scrubbed and sliced thin
  • 2 cups cubed leftover ham
  • 2 cups whole milk (pantry)
  • 2 cloves garlic (pantry)
  • 2 T butter (pantry)
  • salt & pepper, to taste (pantry)

Directions:  Rub the garlic and butter around the inside of a 2 quart casserole dish.  Layer the potatoes and meat in the dish. Top with the milk, garlic, and butter.  Salt and pepper to taste.  Cover with foil and bake in a 350°F oven for 30-40 minutes, until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.  Serve hot.

That totals $29.31  for 6 meals this week!!!!
