This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

Spring has finally started to really show up and that means it’s time to pull out the summer recipes and dust them off!  Plus, it’s 10 for $10 at Meijer this week!  Check out these six meals that will keep your family going!

 

Meal 1: Mock Philly Cheesesteaks  $6.98

  • 1 ½ lb ground beef
  • 2 onions, diced (pantry)
  • 1 pkg Baby Bella mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 pkg Meijer singles American Cheese
  • 1 French baguette, cut into 4 pieces and sliced open

Directions:  Brown the ground beef in a saute pan over medium heat with the onions and mushrooms, until no pink remains.  Drain.  Add the cheese and allow to melt/ PLace in the baguette evenly.

Meal 2:  Brat Burgers with Hot German Potato Salad  $6.27

  • 4 Johnsonville Grillers
  • 4 Meijer hamburger buns
  • 2 lb Meijer yellow flesh potatoes, cubed
  • ½ pkg Meijer bacon, cut into pieces
  • 1 lg onion, diced (pantry)
  • ⅓ C white vinegar (pantry)
  • ¼ C sugar (pantry)
  • 3 T brown or stone ground mustard (pantry)
  • 1 t salt (pantry)

Directions:  Place the potatoes in a saucepan and cover with water.  Bring to a boil and simmer until tender, about 15 minutes.  Drain.  In a saute pan, cook the bacon and onion, until the bacon is crisp and the onions are clear.  Drain the fat, adding ¼ cup of it back to the pan.  In a small bowl, mix the vinegar, sugar, mustard, and salt.  Add to the pan and simmer to thicken.  When thick, add the potatoes back in and toss.  Grill the brat burgers or pan fry.  Serve with stone ground mustard, if desired, in buns.

 

Meal 3:  Grilled Teriyaki Chicken Thighs with Tomato Onion Salad  $3.72

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs
  • 1 onion, sliced thin (pantry)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (pantry)
  • 1 inch ginger, peeled and minced (pantry)
  • ¼ C soy sauce (pantry)
  • 1 pkg Campari tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 Vidalia onion, sliced thin
  • ¼ C olive oil
  • 3 T red wine or cider vinegar

Directions:  In a plastic zippy bag, place the onion, garlic, ginger, and soy sauce.  Seal and mix, then add the chicken thighs.  Marinate in the refrigerator at least an hour, preferably overnight.  Grill or broil until no pink remains near the bones.  Place the tomatoes and Vidalia onions in a bowl.  Mix with the olive oil and vinegar.  Season with salt and pepper as desired.

 

Meal 4:  Reuben Dogs with Chips  $5.18

  • 1 pkg Eckrich hot dogs
  • ½ bottle Meijer Thousand Island Dressing
  • 1 can Meijer sauerkraut
  • 1 pkg Meijer hotdog buns
  • 1 pkg Meijer potato chips, any variety

Directions:  Grill or broil the hot dogs.  Heat the sauerkraut in a small saucepan.  Place the hotdog in the bun, top with sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing.  Serve with chips.

 

Meal 5: Cuban Style Country Ribs with Corn on the Cob  $6.37

  • 3 lbs country style ribs
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (pantry)
  • ½ t ground cumin (pantry)
  • ½ t black pepper (pantry)
  • ½ t dried oregano (pantry)
  • ¼ C orange juice (pantry)
  • 2 T olive oil (pantry)
  • Salt (pantry)
  • 4 ears corn on the cob, shucked
  • Butter (pantry)

Directions:  Place the ribs in a slow cooker.  In a bowl, mix the garlic, cumin, pepper, oregano, juice, and oil in a bowl.  Salt lightly.  Pour over the ribs, cover, and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Bring a large pot of water to a boil.  Add the corn and boil for 3 minutes.  Remove and butter.  Serve with the ribs.

 

Meal 6:  Quick and Easy Pasta  $4

  1. ½ lb ground beef
  2. 2 jars Meijer pasta sauce, any variety
  3. 1 box Meijer green box pasta, any variety

Directions:  Brown the ground beef and drain.  Add the pasta sauce and bring to a simmer.  Prepare the pasta as directed on the package.  Serve with parmesan if desired.
