Meijer Meal Planning Week 6/12: 6 Meals $38 Bucks

This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

There are lots of fresh options at Meijer this week and many of them are on sale!  Check out the week’s worth of recipes you can make with some great items!

Meal 1: Ratatouille with a Side of Pasta  $8.52

  • 2 lbs zucchini and yellow squash, sliced thin
  • ½ lb Vidalia onion, sliced thin
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (pantry)
  • 1 15 oz can Meijer Naturals Petite Diced Tomatoes, drained
  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1 jar Prego Farmer’s Market sauce
  • 1 box Meijer green box pasta, any variety

Directions:  Coat a 9×13 glass pan lightly with olive oil.  Layer the zucchini and yellow squash, sprinkling with the garlic and onion between layers.  Top with the drained tomatoes, cover with foil, and bake in a 350°F oven for 40 minutes, until squash is tender.  While the squash is baking, brown the ground chuck until no pink remains.  Drain and add to the sauce in a saucepan.  Simmer until the squash is done.  Prepare the pasta according to the package directions.

Meal 2:  Slow Cooker Chicken Teriyaki with Rice and Green Beans  $3.72

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs
  • 1 C soy sauce (pantry)
  • 7 cloves garlic, minced (pantry)
  • ¼ C honey (pantry)
  • 1 T minced ginger (pantry)
  • 2 lbs green beans, ends removed
  • 1 T butter (pantry)
  • 2 C rice (pantry)
  • 4 C water (pantry)

Directions:  Place the chicken in a slow cooker.  In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, garlic, honey, and ginger.  Pour over the chicken, cover, and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Place the rice and water in a saucepan.  Bring to a simmer for 20 minutes or until the water has been absorbed.  Prepare the green beans by sauteing over medium heat until crisp tender.

Meal 3:  Homemade Shake & Bake Pork Chops with Mac & Cheese and Veggies  $5.55

  • 2 lb pork loin, cut into chops
  • 1 ¼ C breadcrumbs (pantry)
  • ½ t oregano (pantry)
  • ½ t parsley (pantry)
  • ¼ t garlic powder (pantry)
  • ¼ t onion powder (pantry)
  • 1 t salt (pantry)
  • ½ t pepper (pantry)
  • 1 box Kraft Macaroni & Cheese
  • Milk and butter per directions on the package (pantry)
  • 1 bag Meijer frozen veggies, any variety

Directions:  Place the breadcrumbs and seasonings in a large plastic zippy bag.  Rinse the chops and place in the bag.  Shake to evenly coat.  Place the chops on a lightly greased baking sheet.  Bake in a 425°F oven for 15 minutes, flip over, and bake another 10 minutes, until no pink remains in the center.  Prepare the mac & cheese and veggies as directed on the packages.

Meal 4:  Lemon Roasted Chicken with Salad  $7.43

  • 1 4 lb chicken, rinsed inside and out
  • 1 lemon, pierced several times with a fork (pantry)
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)
  • ½ organic salad blend
  • ½ greenhouse cucumber
  • ½ bunch radishes

Directions:  Salt and pepper the cavity of the chicken.  Stuff with the lemon, place in a baking dish, cover with foil, and roast in a 425°F oven for 1 ½ hours.  Remove the foil and bake another 10 minutes, or until the juices are clear when pierced in the leg joint.  Place the remaining ingredients in a bowl and top with your desired salad dressing.

Meal 5:  Turkey Sausage with Corn and Veggies  $5.28

  • 1 pkg Butterball Turkey Sausage
  • 8 ears corn, shucked
  • Butter (pantry)
  • 1 bag Meijer frozen veggies, any variety

Directions:  Grill or bake the sausage until the skin is browned and crispy.  Boil a large pot of water and place the corn in gently.  Boil for 3 minutes and remove.  Prepare the veggies as directed on the package.

Meal 6:  Burgers with Fries  $8.23

  • 1 ½ lb ground chuck, formed into burger patties
  • 1 pkg Aunt Millie’s hamburger buns
  • 1 pkg Meijer True Goodness fries

Directions:  Grill or broil the burgers until cooked to desired doneness.  Serve on the buns with your favorite condiments.  Prepare the fries according to the package directions.
