Meijer Meal Planning Week 6/19 : 6 Meals $40 Bucks

This is the week of 6/18 of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based on a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

It’s Dollar Days at Meijer again, and there are some awesome deals for great meals for your family!  Check out these six meals that will keep smiles on their faces!

Meal 1:  All American Burgers with Baked Beans and Salad  $8.43

  • 1 ½ lb ground chuck
  • 1 pkg Meijer Hamburger buns
  • 1 pkg Meijer shredded sharp cheddar
  • 1 bag Dole salad mix
  • ½ pint grape tomatoes, cut in half
  • Salad dressing (pantry)
  • 1 can Bush’s Baked Beans

Directions:  Form the ground chuck into patties and season with salt and pepper.  Grill, broil, or fry to desired doneness.  Place on buns and top with cheddar and condiments, as desired.  Place the salad mix and tomatoes in a bowl, then toss with dressing.  Heat the beans to simmering.

Meal 2:  Seasoned Pork Loin (Two Ways) with Asparagus  $8.75

  • 4 lb pork loin
  • 1 T dried oregano (pantry)
  • 1 t salt (pantry)
  • ½ t ground black pepper (pantry)
  • ½ t garlic powder (pantry)
  • 1 lb asparagus, cut end trimmed and washed
  • 2 T butter

Directions:  Place the pork loin in a slow cooker and season with herbs, salt, and pepper.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Saute the asparagus over medium-high heat in the butter until crisp-tender.  Sprinkle with lemon juice, if desired.  Refrigerate leftover pork (about half) for the next meal.

Meal 3:  Shredded Pork Tacos  $5.78 {we are having this tonight, Taco Tuesday with the leftover chicken from last night!}

  • Leftover pork, shredded
  • 1 t cumin (pantry)
  • 1 box Old El Paso taco shells
  • 1 can Old El Paso refried beans
  • ½ pint grape tomatoes, diced
  • 1 pkg Meijer shredded cheddar
  • ½ pint container Daisy sour cream

Directions:  Heat the pork with the cumin until simmering.  Heat the refried beans until hot.  Assemble tacos.

Meal 4:  Steak and Salad  $7.89

  • 1 lb Top Sirloin Petite steak
  • 1 bag Dole salad mix
  • ½ pint grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1 pkg mini cucumbers, sliced
  • Salad dressing (pantry)

Directions:  Grill or broil the steak to the desired doneness; let rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.  Assemble the salad and top with the steak.

Meal 5:  Chicken and Pasta  $4.69 {I made this Monday night and added a ton of veggies like peppers, onions and baked it! Yum!!}

  • 1 lb boneless/skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 jars Prego pasta sauce
  • 1 box Meijer pasta, any variety

Directions:  Place the chicken breasts in a slow cooker and top with the pasta sauce.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Cook the pasta according to the package directions; serve the chicken and sauce over the pasta.

Meal 6:  Pork Chops with Fresh Pickle and Tomato Salad  $4.52

  • 1 ½ lb assorted pork chops
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)
  • 1 pkg mini cucumbers, sliced thin
  • 1 lb ripe on the vine tomatoes, chopped
  • ¼ C olive oil (pantry)
  • ½ C apple cider vinegar (pantry)
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)

 Directions:  Season the pork chops with salt and pepper; grill or broil until no pink remains in the center.  Place the remaining ingredients in a bowl; season to taste with salt and pepper.

This week, six mouth-watering meals will cost only $40.06!
