Meijer Meal Planning Week 7/24 : 6 Meals for $41 Bucks

This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

Meijer has some pretty good sales this week that will feed your family with delicious meals for less!  Check out these six meals!

Meal 1: Sunday Pork Roast with Mashers and Beans  $8.44

  • 4 lb pork shoulder butt
  • 3 T chopped garlic (pantry)
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)
  • 3 lb red potatoes, cubed
  • 1 lb green beans, ends removed

Directions:  Place the pork on a rack in a roasting pan.  Cover with garlic, salt and pepper, then roast, uncovered, in a 475°F oven for 20 minutes.  Cover loosely with foil, reduce heat to 325°F for 4 hours or until a thermometer in the center of the roast reads 185°F.  Remove from oven and let rest 30 minutes.  About 40 minutes before the roast is done, add the potatoes to a pot and cover with water.  Boil until tender, about 30 minutes.  Mash with butter and milk, if desired.  Steam or saute beans until crisp-tender.  Refrigerate the leftover meat for the next recipe.

Meal 2: Pulled Pork Sammies with Fries  $4.37

  • 1 ½ lb leftover pork roast
  • 1 bottle Open Pit barbecue sauce, any variety
  • 1 pkg Meijer hamburger buns
  • 1 pkg Ore Ida fries, any variety

Directions:  Shred the pork and place in a slow cooker with the barbecue sauce.  Cover and set to low for 4-6 hours.  Serve in the buns.  Prepare the fries as directed on the package.

Meal 3: Italian Chicken with Chopped Salad  $5.87

  • 3 lbs chicken thighs
  • 1 bottle Meijer Italian dressing
  • 1 pkg Dole chopped salad

Directions:  Place the chicken in a gallon plastic zippy bag and top with the dressing.  Seal and shake to coat.  Refrigerate several hours or overnight.  Grill on medium-high heat for 15-20 minutes, until the juices run clear when pierced near the bone.  Prepare the salad as directed on the package.

Meal 4: Turkey Meatloaf with Mac & Cheese and vegetables  $5.44

  • 1 ½ lbs Jennie-O ground turkey
  • ¾ C breadcrumbs (pantry)
  • 2 eggs (pantry)
  • 1 t salt (pantry)
  • ½ t pepper (pantry)
  • 1 t oregano (pantry)
  • ½ t basil (pantry)
  • ¼ t marjoram (pantry)
  • 2 boxes Kraft Mac & Cheese (plus ingredients per directions)
  • 1 bag Bird’s Eye vegetables, any variety

Directions:  In a bowl, mix the turkey, breadcrumbs, eggs, and seasonings until completely combined.  Form into a loaf on a rimmed baking sheet.  Bake in a 400°F oven for 40 minutes, until no pink remains in the center.  Top with ketchup, if desired, and return to the oven for 5 minutes.  Prepare the mac & cheese and vegetables as directed on the packages.

Meal 5:  Chili Dogs and Fries  $7.46

  • 1 pkg Ballpark Franks
  • 1 pkg Meijer hotdog buns
  • 1 can Hormel No Beans chili
  • 1 bag Ore Ida fries, any variety

Directions: Prepare the hot dogs by grilling, broiling, or steaming, as desired.  Heat the chili in a small pan until simmering.  Prepare the fries as directed on the package.  Place the hot dogs in the buns and top with hot chili and any desired condiments.

Meal 6:  Baked Ravioli with Garlic Bread  $9.75

  • 1 bag Meijer frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 jar Ragu pasta sauce, any variety
  • 1 bag Kraft shredded mozzarella
  • 1 box NY Texas Toast garlic bread

Directions:  Boil the ravioli for half the time listed on the package.  Drain and place in a casserole dish.  Stir in the pasta sauce, top with the mozzarella, and cover.  Bake in a 375°F oven for 1 hour, removing the cover for the last 5 minutes to brown the cheese.  Prepare the garlic bread as directed on the package.
