This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

 

Kids are going back to school and quick easy dinners are starting to be needed.  Check out these mouth-watering recipes for some perfect back to school meals that save you money!

Meal 1: Street Vendor Sausage, Peppers and Onions  $7.34

  • 1 pkg Meijer Italian sausage
  • 2 green peppers, cut in half and sliced
  • 2 onions, sliced (pantry)
  • 1 pkg Meijer hotdog buns
  • 1 bag Meijer potato chips

Directions:  Place the sausage in a slow cooker.  Top with onions and peppers, cover, and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Serve sausage in the hotdog buns topped with onions and peppers, with chips on the side.

Meal 2:  Deconstructed Eggplant Parmesan  $5.98

  • 1 ½ lb eggplant, cut into ½ inch cubes
  • ½ lb ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ pkg Kraft shredded mozzarella
  • 1 jar Classico pasta sauce, any variety

Directions:  Brown the ground beef and garlic in a Dutch oven.  Drain the drippings and return to the burner.  Add the eggplant and saute until the eggplant starts to brown. Add the pasta sauce, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.  Serve with the mozzarella.

Meal 3:  Stuffed Turkey Burgers with Vegetables  $6.63

  • 1 ½ lb Jennie-O ground turkey
  • ½ pkg shredded cheese, any variety
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)
  • 2 T milk (pantry)
  • ½ pkg Meijer hamburger buns
  • 1 bag Meijer frozen vegetables, any variety

Directions:  Mix the turkey and milk; season with salt and pepper.  Form 8 thin patties on plastic wrap.  Top 4 of the burgers with cheese in the very center, then top with the 4 burgers and press the edges together.  Pan saute or broil until done throughout.  Serve on the hamburger buns with your favorite condiments.  Prepare the vegetables as directed on the package.

Meal 4:  Sloppy Dogs and Fries  $6.59

  • 1 pkg Ballpark hotdogs
  • 1 can Manwich
  • 1 pkg Meijer hotdog buns
  • 1 bag Meijer frozen French fries

Directions:  Simmer the hotdogs in the Manwich sauce in a saucepan for 15-20 minutes.  Serve in the hotdog buns.  Prepare the French fries as directed on the package.

Meal 5:  Chicken Thighs in Tomatoes with Pasta Roni  $3.58

  • 1 ½ lb chicken thighs
  • 2 cans Meijer Naturals diced tomatoes, including juice
  • 1 t oregano (pantry)
  • ½ t basil (pantry)
  • ½ t salt (pantry)
  • ¼ t black pepper (pantry)
  • 1 box Pasta Roni Garlic Alfredo (plus ingredients per package)

Directions:  Place the chicken thighs in a slow cooker and cover with tomatoes and seasonings.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Prepare the Pasta Roni as directed on the package.  Serve with the chicken.

Meal 6:  Pork Chops in Onions with Mashers  $4.89

  • 1 lb assorted pork chops
  • 4 onions, sliced (pantry)
  • 2 ½ lb Meijer yellow flesh potatoes, cubed
  • Milk and butter (pantry)
  • 1 bag Meijer frozen vegetables, any variety

Directions:  Place the onions in a slow cooker and top with pork chops.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Place the potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water.  Bring to a boil for 20-30 minutes, until potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.  Drain and mash with butter and milk to desired consistency.  Prepare the vegetables as directed on the package.  Serve with the pork chops.  Note:  The juices from the pork chops and onions can be made into a savory gravy with some flour and water on the stove.

This week, 6 delectable meals will only cost you $35.01!  What a great way to save money and feed your family right!
