Spring Break Activities In The Mid-Michigan Area

It’s almost Spring Break here in the Mid-Michigan area. I know that many people will be heading to Florida for Spring Break. We just recently came back and had a great time staying at Coco Key Waterpark & Resort, going to Gatorland, Universal, Orlando Trek and more!

However, if you’re planning on staying local, but want to keep the kids busy I have a few ideas for you to check out below!

 

Here’s a list of things you can check out what’s going on next week:

 Celebration Cinema- Take your kids to the movies for FREE till 4/11

play. for one of our specialty “drop-off” camps during Spring Break this year!  Each day, our instructors will lead the children through unique activities that inspire confidence and spark imaginations!  Crafts, storytelling, creative movement, martial arts, games, outdoor play, music, and dance activities will make your child’s Spring Break a blast!

Capital Area Humane Society Students age 7-14 are welcome to join us for a week of learning and fun ($150) Spend time with furry and non-furry friends, create art projects, and participate in numerous games and activities. 9:30 am – 4:30 pm Before and After Care is Available for an additional $25.

Impression 5- Join us for this year’s Spring L.A.B.S. camps! Check out the week’s themes below and be sure to register early by calling (517) 485-8116, ext. 32. Cost, per camp: $50/member, $65/not-yet-member. Cost, 5-day package: $180/member, $240/not-yet-member

Art Reach Studio- Find a variety of after-school activities.

Extreme Fun– Bounce House located in Okemos.

Goldfish Swim School- $5/person | no more than $15/family from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm.

Jumping Jax Bounce Arena– they have extended hours over Spring Break! Also, check their website for promotions and coupons.

Potter Park Zoo

Spare Time Entertainment Center– check the website for the latest promotions. They are currently running a Staycation special during Spring Break week. 

Woldumar Nature Center

Zap Zonelocated by the Lansing Mall. Arcade games, laser tag, mini indoor golf, food, and more!   Check out their website for coupons.

Broad Family Day (April 6): The first Saturday is Family Day at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum. First Saturday means Family Day at the MSU Broad! Bring your family to make creative connections with our exhibitions through free art activities inspired by monthly themes. All ages are welcome. Galleries open at 12pm.

Cost: FREE

Spring Break Camp April 1-5, 2019: 
Spring Break Art Camp students learn and experience creativity in the professional setting of Lansing Art Gallery. Young artists will explore creative processes, techniques, and materials with the guidance of trained artists. Each series of classes culminates in a student art show in the Student Gallery!

Dates: April 1-5, 2019
Ages: at least 7 years old on April 1 and not older than 12 years old.
Open to all skill levels.
Lunch supervision available for additional (nominal) fees. 
Maximum class size: 15 students.

Cost: $100.00

MSU Science Festival (April 5 – April 20): The MSU Science Festival is a free multi-day celebration of science, fueled by some of the basic elements essential to scientific inquiry: curiosity, wonder, and discovery!

 Cost: FREE

Kids N Stuff Children Museum-exciting and highly interactive children’s museum where fun and learning come together every day. They’re a friendly non-profit organization open to the general public throughout most of the year.

The Treehouse: 9,000 square feet for you to hang out or play in their fabulously equipped indoor playground. They have awesome slides, a smaller enclosed area for babies and toddlers, swinging bridges, and a gigantic tree house to climb and explore.

Castaway Play Cafe– Michigan’s Largest Indoor Play Structure.

Jungle Java – fun indoor playcenter where it’s ‘cool’ to play for kids and relaxing for the adults!
