Meijer Meal Planning Week 2/4: 6 Meals $41 Bucks

We’re into the first week of February of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based on a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

Meal 1:  Pork Chops, Onions, and Sweet Potatoes  $4.47

  • 2 lb bone-in pork chops
  • 1 ½ lbs yellow onions, peeled and sliced
  • 1 3 lb bag sweet potatoes, scrubbed and pierced
  • Butter (pantry)
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)

Directions:  Place the onions in a large casserole dish.  Top with the pork chops, season with salt and pepper, cover, and bake in a 350°F oven for 2 hours.  (Can be made in a slow cooker for 6-8 hours on low).  Bake the sweet potatoes in the oven on 350°F for 1 hour or until tender when pierced with a fork.  Serve with butter.  

Meal 2:  Sausage and Chicken Pasta  $5.75

  • 1 pkg John Morrell smoked sausage, cut into ½ inch pieces
  • ½ lb boneless/skinless chicken breast, cut into pieces
  • 2 jars Meijer pasta sauce, any red variety
  • 1 box Meijer rotini pasta

Directions:  Place the meat and sauce in a slow cooker.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Prepare the pasta as directed on the package.  Serve with the sauce over the top.

Meal 3:  Chicken and Cheesy Rice  $4.49

  • 1 lb boneless/skinless chicken breast, cut into pieces
  • 2 T olive or avocado oil
  • 2 boxes Rice a Roni Broccoli and Cheddar (plus ingredients per package directions)

Directions:  Brown the chicken in the oil over medium-high heat until no pink remains in the center.  Add the rice and cook according to the package directions.  

Meal 4:  Steak and Salad  $9.43

  • 2 lb eye of round steaks
  • 1 10 oz pkg spinach
  • 1 greenhouse cucumber, sliced thin
  • 1 orange pepper, diced
  • ½ lb Roma tomatoes, diced
  • Salad dressing of choice (pantry)

Directions:  Broil or grill the steaks to the desired doneness.  Place the remaining ingredients in a bowl.  Serve with the steak.

Meal 5:  Ribs and Fries  $8.85

  • 3 lbs country style ribs
  • 1 bottle Meijer barbecue sauce, any flavor
  • 1 bag Meijer French fries, any variety

Directions:  Place the ribs and sauce in a slow cooker.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Prepare the fries as directed on the package.  

Meal 6:  Burgers with Mac & Cheese  $8.74

  • 1 ½ lb ground chuck
  • Salt and pepper
  • ½ pkg Kraft cheese slices, any variety
  • 1 pkg Meijer rolls
  • Condiments, as desired (pantry)
  • 2 pkgs Kraft Mac & Cheese (plus ingredients per the directions)

Directions:  Form the meat into 4 patties.  Season with salt and pepper.  Grill, broil, or pan fry to desired doneness.  Serve on the buns with cheese and condiments.  Prepare the mac & cheese per the package directions.  

This week, six meals will cost only $41.73!
