This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

 

It’s 10 for $10 at Meijer this week and that means awesome meals for you and your family for less!

Meal 1:  Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore  $6.69

  • 1 ½ lb boneless/skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 onion (pantry)
  • 1 8 oz pkg baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 1 jar Meijer pasta sauce, any variety
  • 1 box Meijer green box pasta

Place the chicken, onions, mushrooms, and bell pepper in a slow cooker.  Top with sauce, cover, and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Prepare the pasta as directed on the package.  Top with chicken and sauce.

Meal 2:  Pork Loin Chops with Asparagus and Rice  $7.48

  • 1 ½ lb pork loin chops
  • 1 lb asparagus
  • 1 pkt Knorr rice side (plus ingredients per package for preparation)
  • 4 T butter (pantry)
  • Worcestershire sauce (pantry)

Directions:  Place the pork chops on a broiler pan.  Top with 1 t butter and sprinkle with Worcestershire sauce.  Broil, turning once.  Top with butter and Worcestershire sauce and return to broiler until no pink remains in the center.  Saute the asparagus with butter until crisp tender.  Prepare the rice as directed on the package.

Meal 3:  Barbecue Sausage with Mac and Cheese  $6.35

  • 1 pkg Hillshire Farms smoked sausage
  • ½ bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce, any variety
  • 2 boxes Kraft Mac & Cheese (plus ingredients per package for preparation)
  • 1 bag Meijer frozen vegetables, any variety

Directions:  Place the sausage on a baking sheet.  Baste with sauce and bake in a 375°F oven, basting every 5 minutes or so, until sausage is browned and hot.  Prepare the mac & cheese and vegetables as directed on the packages.

Meal 4:  Turkey Tortellini Bake  $7

  • 1 lb Jennie-O ground turkey
  • 1 jar Meijer pasta sauce, any variety
  • 1 bag Meijer frozen tortellini
  • 1 t oregano (pantry)
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced (pantry)
  • ½ pkg Meijer shredded mozzarella

Directions:  Brown the turkey and garlic until no pink remains.  Add the oregano and sauce, along with ½ jar of water.  Bring to a simmer.  Place the tortellini in an oven safe dish.  Cover with the sauce mixture and sprinkle with the cheese.  Bake, covered, in a 375°F oven for an hour.  Remove cover and brown cheese.  Serve hot.

Meal 5:  Roasted Pork Loin with Salad  $8.04

  • 1 ½ lb classic dry rub pork loin filet
  • 1 bag Dole salad blend
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 greenhouse cucumber, sliced
  • 1 pkg mini bella mushrooms, sliced
  • Salad dressing of choice (pantry)

Directions:  Place the pork loin in a roasting pan and cover tightly.  Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour, until the internal temperature is 160°F.  Remove from the oven and let rest 5 minutes.  Place the rest of the ingredients in a bowl.  Serve with slices of pork loin.

Meal 6:  Taco Casserole  $7.17

  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1 pkg Meijer taco seasoning
  • 1 onion, diced (pantry)
  • 3 cloves garlic (pantry)
  • 1 can Bush’s pinto beans, drained
  • 1 16 oz jar Meijer True Goodness salsa, any variety
  • 1 bag Meijer tortilla chips

Directions:  Brown the ground chuck, onion, and garlic until no pink remains in the meat.  Drain.  Add the taco seasoning as directed on the packet, the beans, and the salsa.  Bring to a simmer.  Cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.  In a 9×13 pan, place half the tortilla chips.  Pour the meat mixture over the top and top with the rest of the tortilla chips.  Bake in a 375°F oven for 20 minutes, until hot and bubbly.  Top with cheese, if desired.
