Refreshing Strawberry Mojito Spritzers for Summer

I’m always looking for a new fun drink to serve at picnics or just simply at my dinner table.  I keep seeing recipes for mojitos, but I wanted something without the rum.  Then it hit me.  I could make Strawberry Mojito Spritzers with just a few easy ingredients, and everyone in my family could drink them.  You can make Strawberry Mojito Spritzers in a pitcher, in a quart jar, or just in a glass if you like, and they are a great refreshing addition to any summertime meal. Ready in minutes, Strawberry Mojito Spritzers will make your table look smashingly summery!

Fresh Ripe Ingredients for Strawberry Mojito Spritzers

I make my Strawberry Mojito Spritzers with fresh mint that I find in the produce section of my favorite grocery store.  While the fancy version of this drink requires you to muddle, or crush, the leaves with a stir stick, I cheat and shake them up with some ice cubes.  Thin slices of lime add a tangy flavor while sliced red ripe strawberries add sweetness and flavor that puts a smile on anyone’s face.  For the liquid, you can use water for a no-calorie drink, or 7-Up for a sparkling sweet spritzer.  I typically use 7-Up as a treat for the family on hot days.  Strawberry Mojito Spritzers are a great way to brighten up your summer table.

Strawberry Mojito Spritzers Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 2 sprigs mint
  • ice
  • 1 lime, sliced thin
  • 4 strawberries, sliced thin
  • 2 cans 7-Up

 Directions:

Place the mint and ice in a quart jar and shake gently.

Add the lime, strawberries, and 7-Up.

Allow to sit 5 minutes for the flavors to meld.

Serve over ice.

Changing the Flavors of Your Strawberry Mojito Spritzers

There are a lot of ways you can change your Strawberry Mojito Spritzers for the season.  I love using the mint with lemon and blackberries when they are at their ripest.  It’s an interesting flavor combination that also looks beautiful in the glass.  In the fall, try apple slices and a cinnamon stick for an Autumn flavor that can’t be beat.  Any way you make Strawberry Mojito Spritzers, the flavors are refreshing and delicious.
